Children's Day : 14th November
Children’s Day is observed in the Indian sub continent each year on the 14th of November. Children’s Day is a day for children, dedicated to their enjoyment, their merriment, their happiness, to their education and to making sure that no child is deprived of their moral and educational rights.
Popularly known as Bal Diwas amongst the masses, the name Children’s Day takes everyone back to their childhood. Children’s Day is not just a day of celebration, this day is a reminder to all kids, to all children and their parents that children should be nurtured and be given love and blessings in abundance. It is a reminder that all children should be given opportunities to grow, learn, play, dram and enjoy their life to the fullest.
Late Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was the first Prime Minister of India and it is on his birth anniversary that Children’s Day is celebrated in the vibrant country of India. Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru was called Chacha Nehru amongst the kids as he had deep love and extra affection towards kids and children. He always believed that children are the future and the future needs to be nurtured with love.
“The children of today will make the India of tomorrow. The way we bring them up will determine the future of the country.” : these were the word of Late Chacha Nehru. These words of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru for sure echo in the atmosphere of the nation reminding everyone that these children if taken care of today will for sure transform the future into a glorious one.
Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru left for heavenly abode in the year 1964, and since then his birth anniversary has been commemorated as Children’s Day. This day is not just a tribute to Pandit Nehru but also a day to honour the future of the nation which is: Children.
Children’s Day is just not a day of celebration and merriment but acknowledging and appreciating the future of the nation which are children. This day is about realizing and acknowledging the fact that if we want a better and brighter future, all of us in unison need to cherish and nourish the ones who are the future, we need to take care of the them, nourish them and make them feel safe.

Today’s technology driven lives of children do not even give them time to enjoy the best time of their lives which is their childhood. Kids and children today face many struggles in the areas of education, career, competition, bullying and societal pressure. It is the parent’s duty to make the child feel stress free, less anxious, confident and loved.
Remind the children that they need feel burdened and pressured all the time. Make them feel that you are there for them and they can relieve their stress by talking to you. Make them understand that parents are always there to support the children and will stand alongside them come what may.
Children’s Day is a celebration of not just a day but it is a day to celebrate your children. It is a celebration of the childlike innocence, of radiance of selfless love. A child is the Father of the Man and thus it is very important to safeguard the children so that the future of this world is safe.
