Popular Eid delicacies afeter a month of Ramadan Fasting are:

  • Sheer Khurma: A sweet vermicelli dessert made with milk, dates and dry fruits eaten both hot and cold.
  • Biryani: A rich and flavorful rice dish with spices and meat, chicken, eggs or even Paneer and vegetables
  • Kebabs: Grilled or fried meat and paneer, tofu etc
  • Seviyan: Sweet vermicelli prepared in different styles
  • Phirni: A creamy rice pudding dessert
  • Khamiri Roti : a really fluffy tandoori roti
  • Baklava : Pastry sheets layered with nuts and honey.

  • Elders give the children or younger ones money which is called Eidi to enjoy the Eid Mela organised as a symbol of lve and blessing.
  • Children can buy any item of their choice with this Eidi Money making it more exciting.
