It is said that Hanuman Ji was brought in this world for a bigger divine purpose. As per Hindu Mythological literature and the Hindu Epic Ramayana to Mata Anjana and Kesari, Hanuman Ji was born, during the Treta Yug. It is also believed that God of Wind, Vayu was the cosmic or spiritual father of Bajrang Bali.
Ramayana and the other scriptures state that Ayodhya’s King, Raja Dasharatha performed a holy yagya or yagna to increase his lineage, after which a small amount of kheer which was the sacred prasad (प्रसाद) was given to his 3 wives, which the God of Wind carried and also gave some to Anjana as well.
After Mata Anjani had this kheer, Bajrang Bali was born as an avatar of Mahadev or Bhagwan Shiv and thus Hanuman Ji was born with great power or शक्ति,intelligence or बुद्धि and most of all unwavering devotion or भक्ति.
Bajrang Bali’s story is the ultimate embodiment of what Altruism and faith is. Hanuman Ji’s biggest duty marks its story in the epic Ramayan, from where he rose as the epitome of devotion and the most ardent follower of Prabhu Shri Ram.
From crossing the ocean and reaching Sri Lanka to bring back Mata Sita from the abduction of Demon King Ravana, burning Lanka to bringing Sanjeevani Booti with Sanjeevni Mountain for saving Lakshman Ji, each and every action of Bajrang Bali is an epitome of strength, valour, intelligence and unwavering faith.
As a child, it once so happened that Hanuman Ji thought Sun to be a glowing fruit and went into the skies to gulp it, showing what his power was.
Even though Hanuman Ji was great in the true sense of the word but had no ego and was very down to earth. Even though he was very strong, wise and courageous he always remained a grounded disciple and servant of Maryada Puroshottam Shri Ram. The bhakti bhav he had for Shri Ram was unparalleled.
