Netaji was a very bright and brilliant student who cleared the toughest exam that time which was the Indian Civil Services (ICS) examination in England. But deep dow, Netaji’s heart had only one desire – to work for his country and free it from the British Raj. Thus, he resigned from his post which was a clear sign of his fearlessness.
Netaji had a firm belief that freedom is not something to be asked for but it was to be won through determination and sacrifice. His ideologies varied from that of other freedom fighters of his time and he firmly believed that strict action and worldwide relations are very necessary to take control of one’s own land.
One of Netaji’s most remarkable contributions was the formation and leadership of the Indian National Army (Azad Hind Fauj). He famously said “तुम मुझे खून दो, मैं तुम्हें आज़ादी दूँगा” or “Give me blood, and I will give you freedom,” which literally became a revolution amongst those seeking freedom of the country.
