Observing Rohini Vrat requires sincerity and adherence to simple yet meaningful rituals.

1. Wake up at dawn during Brahma Muhurat, take a holy bat and wear white/yellow attire.

2. Take a sankalp (pledge) or vow to observe the fast with full devotion after lighting Diya to Shri Krishna.

3. Puja Ritual

  • Offer flowers, Tulsi leaves (it is said to multiply blessings), chandan, dhoop and fruits
  • Recite Vishnu Sahasranama or chant “Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya.”
  • Read or listen to Rohini Vrat Katha and thereafter aarti

4. Fasting Rules : Followers can do either of the below –

  • Nirjala Vrat (without water) – for strict followers
  • Phalahar Vrat (fruits, juices and milk only)
  • Saatvik meal once a day (without onion, garlic, or grains)

5. Charity and Kindness

Donating food, clothes or money to the needy and feeding cows is highly regarded

Paran : Rules for breaking the Rohini Vrat February 2026 Fast

Fast is broken after the Rohini Nakshatra time ends or the next morning after sunrise. This is alled Parana. Before Paran:

  • Offer final prayers to Lord Krishna and Perform aarti
  • Distribute prasad among family members and near and dear ones
  • Do Paran with water and light Satvik meal.
