  1. Wake Up at Brahma Muhurat and take a bath and post that wear yellow clothes.
  2. Take the Sankalp to do the Ekadashi Vrat with sincerity.
  3. Prepare the Puja place with flowers,agarbatti and ghee diya. Then offer Tulsi leaves, yellow flowers, Fruits, Panchamrit and homemade Sweets
  4. Do Vishnu Puja and recite “Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya”, Vishnu Sahasranama and Om Namo Narayanaya. Read Ekadashi Vrat Katha.
  5. Do Jagrata and sing bhajans to invite multiplefold blessings.
  6. Do Parana next day at given Muhurat and eat sattvik food only.

Observing the day keeping in mind the following rules helps you to attain glorified blessings.

There are certain food that should be avoided on this Padmini Ekadashi like:

  • Rice or Chawal
  • Wheat
  • Lentils or Dal
  • Onion and garlic
  • Non-vegetarian food
  • Alcohol
  • Over spicy food

As per their physical endurance, one should do the following rituals:

  • Nirjala vrat (without food and water)
  • Phalahar vrat (fruits and milk or juices can be consumed)
  • Simple sattvic food

Common vrat foods include:

  • Fruits
  • Milk
  • Dry fruits
  • Sabudana kheer or khichdi
  • Makhana
  • Singhara atta halwa or puri and paratha
