4. Making Ugadi Pachadi

Ugadi Pachadi a dish made of 6 varier tastes and flavors -sweet, sour, bitter, salty, spicy and tangy is the speciality of Ugadi 2026.

The ingredients consist of Neem flowers, gur or Jaggery, imli or Tamarind, kairi or Raw mango, Salt and chilly. Each flavor symbolizes varied phases of life like happiness, sadness, anger, fear, surprise and disgust.

5. Panchanga Shravanam

Panchanga Shravanam is a ritual where priests or elders read the new Panchang of the New Year which has predictions about rainfall, agriculture, economic conditions and other general info.

6. Temple Visits and Puja

One must go to Ganesh temple on this day of Ugadi 2026. It is believed that praying on this day blesses one with special blessings for the new upcoming year.
