Who is Maa Shailputri?

1. Kalash Sthapana or Ghatasthapana and Invitation to Maa
- On a wooden flat table put soil and sow barley seeds.
- Kalash filled with water be placed and 5 leaved mango leaces be placed on brim and coconut on top. This is sipposed to invite Maa Durga.
- In front of Maa Shailputri image light diya and dhoop and make sure to offer white flowers.
2. Bhog
- Offer cow ghee, mishri, seasonal fruits, milk and white home made mithai like kalakand and peda.
3. Recite Mantras
- “Om Devi Shailputryai Namah” may be recited again and again or Durga Saptashati
4. Puja and Aarti
- Perform aarti , pray for peace and prosperity and distribute Prasad with devotion.
